Windy Ledges Metalworks is a small family operated blacksmith and welding shop in South Woodbury, Vermont. Robert Beall is the designer and manufacturer of all the work within this site. Our website is intended to serve as a reminder to people who have already witnessed the quality of our products at retail shows throughout the Northeast. We have made the decision to create a low-tech site using our own amateur photographs in order to keep our costs down, thus enabling us to keep our prices low. The works presented on this site are all production pieces. However, a large part of our business is creating customized work which suits the needs and taste of our customers. Please contact us with any questions or if you would like to purchase some of our work. Visit our site again; we are constantly working on new projects. All of our outdoor pieces are finished with a powder coat. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of pigment and resin which is sprayed onto the surface to be coated. The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces until heated and fused into a smooth coating in a curing oven. The result is a uniform, durable, high quality and attractive finish.
